Default Oil confusion

Hi all

Sorry if this has been asked before. I have a 2.5 wrx hawkeye. Euro car parts recommends 5w30 fully synth, the last service from garage was 5w30 fully synth, but opie oils recommends 5w40 and the service kits scooby world sells is 5w40.

The car has 52k on the clock, what is the best I should use? If I map the car in the future will I need a different oil?

Thanks all

Haha I know they are good, but I was just wondering why one company recommends one grade and one another, I assume euro get their specs from the manufacturer because the garage used manufacture recommended grade.
