Default Engine dying

I recently bought a 1994 jap import wrx . I was told it had a full bottom end rebuild . Now after being fine the car has lost power and is making a ticking sound on acceleration also if drove for 15 mins it starts to make a squeaking sound . The boost off the turbo is still there but at normal rpm its struggles for power and feels like it struggling to drive freely . The car is giving an a/f sensor fault but I don't think yhat is the problem .

I'm always suspicious when someone new signs up with newly purchased car that has an issue..........Chances are, the issue was already there which is why it was put up for sale in the first place.
