Standard wheel stud length and advice
The thread has gone on one of my front wheel studs. Cars a late classic uk turbo (year 2000)
What length are the standard studs, I'm trying to buy one online but there a couple of different lengths ?
Also any advise on fitting ? Do I just take the disk off and smash out the old wheel stud, or am I over simplifying a more complex job
Cheers

dude, just buy from a subaru dealer...
Anyway, to remove stud get a spare alloy nut ot two, so you can hammer it backwards.
I had to fit longer ones for my set up and i rang Merlin motorsport - don't recall havin to remove the discs

Awsome cheers mate.
That thread seems to suggest 40mm is standard which I can see for sale online so I will order that. Can't go to a dealer as a closest appears to be over 25 miles away
Did you have any issue getting your old ones out, or is it simply fit a nut then a few hefty hits with the hammer ?
Cheers

My now brother-in-law did it for me so I had no problems, there'll be youtube vids of diy jobs if you look, use wd40 or similar first on the hubs i guess and let it soak in (don't get any on the brakes though)
the thread pitch is important when ordering, btw some dealers will post parts if you ask

Having watched an example i remember him unbolting the calliper and resting it on the suspension now - sorry it was back in 2008
