Default classic impreza lighting issues

So the other day my side lights, rear fog light, number plate lights and dash illumination stopped working. All I have is main beam and high beam, brake lights, reverse light and indicators and the individual dash warning lights work. I have gone through all the fuses twice, tried swapping the tail light ilumi relay with the rear Def relay and I have also replaced the entire stalks and parking light button part but still no joy. I can't find anything loose and can't find any breaks in the wire. It was a case of working one day. Didn't use the car for a few days and then when I went to use it nothing. Has anyone got any ideas as to what else it could be or something I may have overlooked. I am thinking possibly the illumination control unit/module but I am unable to find a second hand one to test this. Does anyone have any ideas as the where I can get one and if that could be the root cause of my lights failure? Your help is much appreciated.

Have you checked the main lighting fuse under the bonnet?

I had this happen to me last week and it was a fuse.

The one that had blown for me was a 20 amp. If you have a spare one change it. Sometimes they blow but don't look like they've blown.

As above: blade fuses have a habit of LOOKING OK, but being not OK.

Failing that, you might have some corrosion in the bottom of the fusebox. There was a thread on here recently where a fuse holder had corroded away completely.
