Default Exhaust Manifold

Hi everyone, I have a quick question regarding exhaust manifolds.

I am having a couple of jobs done and looking at removing the exhaust system on my 98 Terzo from the turbo back to heat wrap it.

Having had a quick look around and reading a few threads, I am wondering wether there is anything to be gained from removing the stock oem Exhaust Manifold and replacing it with a heat wrapped stainless steel one?
If I did replace the Manifold, I would not be looking to spend a lot, probably just an ebay lobby (£150) so not looking to put a top of the range header on.

What is the collective thought on oem header vs aftermarket?

thanks

Stay well clear off cheap manifolds would be my honest oppinion, dig around you will soon see why

Standard all the way ported if you can. It can actually strangle the car more with cheap shìte than what the standard ones would!

ported headers at most and a "harvey smith" up-pipe - if your on a limited budget then just the trick up-pipe would assist.......
