Driving home last night (only doing 30) the engine light came on with the cruise control light and Si drive light flashing. The car is still running fine but i want to get the problem sorted. The car is fully forged , de catted ,cold intake ,tumble valves deleted, etc and mapped by A.F. My question is would one of the code readers off e- bay or similar be able to read the fault and could anyone recommend the right one for the job. Cheers in advance.

ebay code readers will only read the OBD diagnostic codes from the engine. If you haven't got an engine management light on then they won't be able to get anything.

Cheers guys, thanks for the link Beastie, tried the odometer reset and its showing the fault is a camshaft sensor , oh well off to the dealers for me. Thanks again.
