Default 2.5 engine conversion

Evening guys am putting a full 2.5 engine in my blob eye and have noticed the 2.0 has 3 cam sensors and the 2.5 only has 2 which have 3 wires where as the 2.0 sensors only have 2 wires. Anybody done this conversion if so what was required to get the car running

Cheers

Your blob ECU will not work with this setup. You will either need to use the ECU from the 2.5, with a major wiring rework, or go for something like a Syvecs which will be much more flexible when it comes to the different sensor arrangement (but will still need some wiring changes).

Or, fit the heads from the 2.0l and thereby retain the original 3 off 2-pin sensors. The heads will need machining to suit.
