Hawkeye STI Alarm/ Immobiliser
Hello all,
Went to start my car as usual yesterday, to be met with a few bleeps from my alarm when I opened the door.
Upon trying to start the car, nothing.
I've tried: disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds, cycling the key 10 times in 15 seconds (multiple times), now even have the alarm code from Subaru, but still stuck with the alarm/ immobiliser. I've tried all of this with both keys I have to no luck.
I'm currently about to call the RAC in attempt to see if I'm missing anything/ they know something. As talking to my local subaru dealer, they believe that I will need a new key which will cost between £170 - £250!
Figured I'd ask around on here, to see if anyone has any ideas prior to calling the RAC/ being massively out of pocket with Subaru..
Thanks!

HI on my 04 Blobeye the alarm does goes off if I try and start it with a flat battery that wont turn the engine over !
I would just check the battery if you can -- as the alarms have a built in battery back up for the siren to sound if loss of power.

Fitted a new battery and all is well! - Until today, when my fan randomly decided to not kick in. (Hot engine + Rain = Smoke, everywhere!) - Thought I blown a head gasket. Not having luck at the moment. Maybe I should hold off fitting my new HSD monopro's this week.
Thanks for the tips..
