Default '98 Turbo 2000 Tuning

Hi I'm new to the the scooby scene and in aid of knowledge.

Just purchased a 98 turbo 2000 (v4 I think) with knocking engine which is currently undergoing a full rebuild.

As far as I know the car was running standard.

My hopes of output are anything between 300-350, so im just after some tuning help please? But want it to be reliable also (if that's possible?)

Iv already fitted Walbro 255 pump, got a 4 branch ready to go on and a uprated panel filter, full decat system and alloy radiator which was already fitted.

So anymore info would be much appreciated, thank you

It will need mapping, and that ecu isn't mappable.

You will need to purchase either an ESL daughterboard, or something like Alcatek as an aftermarket ecu.

Budget another £1000 to £2000 for purchase and mapping.

DO NOT be tempted to do it without....unless you want another engine knocking in short order.

Does that include the price of the hardware?

yes, add-on to the std ECU rather than outright like Alcatek, etc.......

very cost effective
