Default 1998 Subaru impreza turbo import problem

Hi all

Managed to sort out my headgasket thank you for all your help.

My next problem is I was driving it back from the garage for about 30 miles I was almost home and then suddenly there was a massive grinding noise and then suddenly it felt astho the rear wheels locked! Now the car will move about 10 feet and the wheels will lock and it's making massive noise my suspicion is it's the rear diff what are your thoughts?

Any help would be great

Thanks
John

Rear diff, or brakes locked on?

Do we know if it's had any work done on the gearbox or diffs?

There's receipts that it had a replacement gearbox about 7000 miles ago it also has a quick shift! But seems to drive about 10-15 foot with a grinding knocking noise then suddenly locks up

It's difficult to diagnose from the other end of an internet connection, without having seen, or heard, what it does/doesn't.

Why not get it recovered to a reputable Scoob specialist near you.

I hired a trailer and towed mine to Darlington for an engine rebuild.
