Default What is this?

Hi people, my Impreza has been in and out my garage whilst I've been doing bits and bobs but always has ran abit lumpy and now cuts out after around 20 seconds of being ran. I started taking off my airbox to check this blue hose I could see and found some sort of valve joined at a t-peice in between my boost solenoid and turbo actuator. Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on what it is and if this could be the cause to my problem. If not does anyone have any ideas as to why it does this?
Also how do I post pics so I can show what it is I'm talking about?

What year of car?

you need to host your pics somewhere then link to them.
Upload them to something like photobucket, then you will get a link to put on the site here

Ok mate I'll try sort it so you can see what I'm talking about. Do you have any ideas as to what would be fitted between the boost solenoid and actuator?

Just looking at it doesn't look like a boost controller although it does have some sort of gauze filter and an adjusting screw

For some reason can't get check engine light to illuminate? Just took a look at the ecu and it has had a 4wire superchips box wired directly to the plug on the ecu. It has a diagram for the 4 wires and it says
---- +
---- ecu
---- map

is the bulb there ? often bulbs are removed to mask a problem for MOT or for sale. It should come on with ignition if its there, no idea about superchip, never worked with them.

Engine light works now. Chip box removed, boost thing removed, ecu reset. Stuck back on gas analyser and O2 is perfect, just HC still high and still riluns like a dog on tick over. Nipped it round the block and drove fine. If I'm stationary and hold at around 3000rpm it pops and banges all over

Cheers 4 the info mate.
Sorry for all the questions, just wanting to get as much info as im new to the Impreza world.
Another question I have, is there any point trying to get codes out of it as my check engine light is not illuminated?

I've also created and uploaded to pics to photo bucket, how do I get them on here?

Cheers for that mate, I have access to autodata so shouldn't be a problem to access codes
