Nut and Bolt threads......Does anyone know if there is a 'list' of the most common nut and bolt sizes on the Impreza; showing what is fitted where.
I seem to have a major search every time I want to replace one.
Thanks.

Most metric threads exist in fine or coarse, but the fine ones are the really common ones.
I've replaced many of the non-high torque ones on mine with stainless, I simply took one out, identified it's size and either bought locally, (www.yell.com, enter "bolt and nut stockist"), or off ebay.
Identification by screwing in a known bolt/screw, or by screwing the unknown into a known nut.
I also sourced from very obscure ones by Googling "Stainless bolt and nut stockist" or similar, then choosing off their website.
Those include the long thin screws holding the electric levelling motors to my lights (classic), screws with aprons for the lights, screws that look like roofing bolts for the skirts, screws for the indicators, screws for the foglights, and many many under the bonnet, radiator screws etc.
In fact anything rusty I've removed, unless it's a high torque application, in which case, if it was rusty, it got replaced with the same, dipped in copper slip.

Thanks for the replies, I deal a lot with nuts and bolts and the suppliers of them, the practice of replacing like for like is probably the best way to do it. My Bugeye is getting the rear subframe replaced on Tuesday and in particular I wanted to be able to give the garage a set of new ht bolts to fit.
