Default Being lazy, oil filter sandwich plate.

Hey guys, just a quick question.

Do i have to change oil when fitting sandwich plate, as it had oil change not long ago and it just seems a bit of a waste.

Or shall i do the lot, oil filter and the oil when fitting the sandwich plate.

just need some guidance really.

Also does any one know what the torque setting for the sandwich plate bolt?

Anyone,?

By meaning sanwich plate is the plate between the oil filter and the block to fit gauges or the oil cooler.

Don't do it.

It's not only lazy, but you will not get the accurate readings from the gauges, so why have them?

Do it once, do it right: you know it makes sense!

Only the oil in the filter and tubes to the pump should leak out.

I would contemplate doing it if I had expensive new oil in the sump.

Otherwise, get yourself some adaptors and fit the sensors to the block.

Don't use a sandwich plate. Use proper locations which will probably cost no more then the plate anyway. Plus you won't loose any oil using the proper locations and will get decent readings.
