Default New turbo reqd

Hi guys, my wife has a 2001 bug eye WRX and I think I need a new turbo. It was making strange noises, now has lost all boost and oil smoke is coming out from the exhaust.....

It has done 125,000 miles to be fair, on its original clutch and turbo so can't complain really.

I need a new turbo, any advice where to get one or a decent second hand one?? Seen a few on the internet but also rumours some of them are cheap fakes?

Any advice grateful, I am Located in Oxted in the south east and if you have a turbo give me a ring on 07801 495568 many thanks, Lee

normally the cheap fakes are the TD05's and high power turbos but as said above there are plenty of cars breaking so you should be able to pick one up easy enough.

if its just smoking it might be it needs seals replaced. If you can't find a TD04 on here for cheapness check out local repair shops and see if someone will refurb your current one for a few coins.

At least your turbo refurbed you know what condition its in and it will serve you happily until you melt you clutch
