Default Big hesitation - new MAF sensor needed?

This is for a UK classic turbo MY00. On track this weekend I felt a big hesitation at 100 or 110 mph and expected some nasty damage. Fortunately everything is fine it seems and it pulls really well, but I kept it at lower speeds. It is running 280 HP (remapped at SRR by one of the best Subaru mappers!). The MAF was last changed two years ago and the car does get a bit dusty sat in a garage for most of the time. It's always run on super unleaded.

Does it sound like a MAF sensor issue?

Cheers. I am going to replace it anyway as it's two years old so I'll see if it sorts it.
