Exclamation Blobeye WRX quiet exhaust choice...

Hey guys,
Can anyone suggest a really quiet backbox for a 2003 WRX? The one that's on it is crazy loud and I want something that's more in keeping with the understated family-car appearance...
I'm thinking that a Prodrive rear section will quieten it down, but would appreciate any thoughts. Haven't had a chance to look underneath it yet, but I'm pretty sure it has the standard cat in the downpipe mated to a straight through centre section and some sort of JDM style 5inch backbox (not sure of the make). At the moment, you can hear my tickover in Alaska.
Cheers!

Prodrive or Milltek would be my suggestions.

I'll add Milltek to the list. To bad you can't preview them. :-)

Where are you based as I maybe up for a swap for my prodrive back box which is too quiet for me? I'm based just outside Sunderland Tyne and Wear.

if you want almost no sound you can stick an STI standard box on with a decat/straight through center section. Handy if you leave the house at stupid o'clock in the morning and need to make a stealthy getaway!

Thanks clarky, but I'm near Cambridge... Bit of a trek.
I'll add the standard STI box to my wish list, bludgod. Hadn't considered that... :-)

Have a look at the cobra track day friendly exhaust. It's 3" cat back and keeps noise levels down. Think you can choose tail pipe size either 3.5" or 4"

My old prodrive exhaust with a resonated centre section and ppp sports cat downpipe measured 88db @ 4500 revs.

Is your car modified at all?

Prodrive is pretty quiet but its pretty bassy, especially on a cold start.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
The car has PPP and a cone filter (soon to be replaced with the original airbox). Aside from that, standard.
Loads more options than I was aware of, really appreciate all the ideas as I can now find something that suits the budget. :-)

I'd go with a Prodrive back box, sound nice and and look understated too, failing that have a custom one made and have it as quiet as you like with the tailpipe of your choice..
