Really need help guys flashing cel v4 sti
I'm due to take my car on a track for the first time and I'm having a serious last minute head scratch.
The car (v4 sti powered peugeot) starts fine and runs fine for a while but then the the check engine light starts flashing and I get code 24 which I know is iacv but would this really make the cel flash? If I reset the ecu it is fine again until it warms up but then it happens again, when the light starts flashing the engine revs start going up and down! I don't have a code reader but I know that a flashing cel usually means a missfire.
I'm hoping someone can relate to this! So frustrating!!

Hi mate thanks for the reply, yes the ecu is from the same car. When the car is running fine before the check engine light comes on if I pull the connector off the iacv there is no change in the engine revs. I will take it out and check it give i a good clean!

Ok so I have inspected and cleaned the idle valve and the car is still the same! The mechanical part of the valve seemed to spin fine so I don't think that's at fault but the solonoid could faulty! I've done some research and it seems this problem could be down to a number of other sensors at fault!
