Gx sport lambda and diagnostic readings, help needed!!
Battling a problem with my bugeye gx sport and cant find any info online, basically ive got very bad mpg 22 instead of the average 32.
Car was throwing po136 code which is the rear sensor, I have replaced that sensor and that problem has gone away. Mpg was still bad so I replaced the front sensor in hope (thought if the rear has gone front must be going to) Now both readings form the old and new front sensor are the same. Lambda is reading 1.0 on idle and if I give it a good rev it moves to 1.5 maximum and as I let the throttle go the readings drop to 0.7minimum (I think the front is a wideband)
Is that what readings I should have, what do I look for next? The plugs are white from running lean and the car on diagnostics constantly says lean, I thought it would go rich lean rich lean keeping it at optimal power.
The next thing im looking at is the exhaust, I have the second cat removed and a catback from a classic fitted. But I just don't see how a loss in back pressure (stock system 2" and this cat back is 2.5") would cause my engine to run lean. This system passed mot and my readings where way below requirements. Im just confused and lack of info online just doesn't help.
