GT30 is it worth rotating?
I'm very seriously considering a GT30 for my 2.1. (I've been told GT35 might be pushing my luck)
Now, as you can get stock location units, is it worth the extra (pretty large) expense going rotated?
I've been told with a good dash of meth 600 is achievable, would you agree?

Hi there
GT30 should be better choice on yours with 82AR should make close to 600bhp with reasonable spool up
And about the running standard location GT30 not sure,I know only MDX321V which is 500bhp turbo,on meth usually this turbo making close to 560bhp and second choice is SC54 which should make on meth around 580bhp,I would expect SC54 on 2.1L will be laggier,I know only few guys who run this turbo, next choice is Blouch Dom 4.0XT-R,which should make close to 600bhp,but you will need to expect will be laggy
Due this I would go with rotated GT30 with 82AR and its worth it extra expense, simply spool up and how it perform is simply very impressive and very aggressive with which we are been very surprised, comparing Rotated/twisted to standard location turbo, simply you can compare it
What restrict standard location GT30 is simply inlet and exhaust housing
Hope this helps
Thanks,Jura

It depends what you're looking for, a lot of people have had outstanding results from the stock location ATP GTX3076r. Bear in mind going rotated will mean getting an FMIC (people in the US have done rotated and TMIC but they don't have brake cylinders to get in the way) so you'll be changing your driving dynamics by increasing lag.

Personally I'd rotate it and go for a GT30 Billet with a .63 housing.
The exhaust housing isn't restrictive on a 30 and you'd prefer the earlier spool from a 2.1.
We've seen 530bhp on VPower and 580+ on a dash of meth and it spooled really well on a non AVCS equipped car.
