Default rocker gasket STILL leaking!

had my rocker gasket at drivers side changed as there was the usual leak. turns out one of my half moons was brittle and bits had broke off causing the leak. so new gasket set (genuine subaru) and a pair of half moons fitted but its still leaking! i seem to remember someone posted a schematic showing the points to use the 3 bond sealer? i,d be grateful if someone had the link they could post. im guessing my mechanic will need to have another go? is the gasket reusable? im hoping he can just take the cover off and reposition and put some more 3 bond on? thanks guys.

Don't have a schematic, but, the gasket is reusable.

Though mine was leaking a few years ago, but, it was the o-ring on the oil filler. O-ring replaced, and original racker gasket refitted and good to go.

My bloody drivers side one has started leaking though, now.

its usually the drivers side to go first micky as the heat from the turbo makes the rubber brittle. guess my mech will just have to have another go tom.

Yeah, I've had my car coming up on 10 years now, and it is nearly 21 years old. It's getting done on Friday.

leave it overnight without driving it if you can micky as i think this was my mistake, it will give the 3 bond time to set properly.

I'm dropping it off on Friday morning and picking it up after work. It'll be fine.

Did you use new bolt seals?

yeah they came with the kit. apparently the torque settings are quite low so overtightening them might make them leak as well so ive been told.
