Newage WRX and STI short engine codes?

Is there a code on the newage wrx or wrx sti engine short bock to determin weather its a sti or wrx engine?

STI block will have a semi closed deck.

engine in car and running, any way of telling difference for certain!? has WRX heads as far as I know as has no avcs

Barcode sticker on the center timing cover to the lower left of the front pulley ?

That will tell you for sure.
