Default type r build what would it cost?

As above hopefully sale of my K6 GSXR 750 will go through tomorrow so have some spending money lol..

so what I'm thinking is buying bannys old type r shell off Brian at cams and do a build.. nothing mega just a JDM twinscroll V9 engine with VF37 turbo etc..It is caged so be a 2 seater stripped out car..

Thanks ryan

A friend has done exactly what you're proposing in a v6 type r limited shell and its in the region of 10k, will asking him and exact figure for you but he has done quite a bit of the work himself. Its currently with Zen Performance ready for mapping

All the work will be done by myself over a couple years at least.. coming to finish ish my blob Sti project and have always had the itch for a type r especially at the process the shell is going for with a SW cage already installed.. be nice having it twinscroll aswell

Go for it Ryan, it was a great shell even before being caged so they will only have added to it. I will watch your build with interest if you do go ahead with it as that car will always hold a sentimental value for me

Done it got the t shirt havent even thought about how much it has cost me to date im sure it would bring tears to my eyes just know that when I sell there will be a lot of goodies for sale as the car will be broken/stripped for parts saying that tho your starting the right way get a good shell thats already had all the prep work done on it first and add your own bits over time to suit you

Yeah that's my plan.. have the blob Sti which I'm finishing up over Xmas and early next year.. plan is not got the big power like the blob just a 2 seater type r twinscroll because I love it and think it would be nuts!! Get parts bit by bit over time no rush at all for it prob keep it on a 5 speed to save costs etc aswell

Do you know if you could get any of the bits from my build included for extra? I can list up the full spec when I had it if you want to ask Mr Cams what he still has
