running worse with standard recirc dump valve
Hi.
I've fitted my standard recirculation valve back on and it seems to be running worse than before with an aftermarket bov. This goes against what people say that the original is best for performance so could this mean the recirculation valve is broken or the ecu is confused with the change and needs time to learn the old valve again?
It seems to very briefly cut revs/slightly hesitate at low revs whilst driving. Every couple of minutes or so. Strange.

It was remapped with the standard recirc a few years ago before i had it then the guy I bought it from put an aftermarket vta on which makes it even more strange. Think I will just put the vta back on until I get it remapped.

I've been meaning to change back to original for a while as ive heard it will run best with the recirc valve instead of the vta but it's been running well so haven't bothered.
I've just had fault code p0132. O2 sensor high voltage. come up and this could be due to running rich. It came on after a first decent motorway run in a while. The engine was running fine though. I've heard aftermarket dump valves can make the engine run rich so that's why I thought I would change it to see if it makes a difference. Not sure where to start with it running rich. The code has been wiped and not come on again so maybe it was a one off.

I don't think the bov was related to running issues. Just a coincidence as it's running the same with either fitted now. Running rich so hopefully getting it sniff tested and sorted and remapped tomorrow.
