Default running rich. fault code p0132

Hi.
Had fault code p0132 come up. O2 sensor high voltage. Garage thinks it could be down to temporarily running rich. It came up the first time it had a decent run in a while. Does anyone know why it may be suddenly running rich. I haven't modified it excepting a service including k and n panel filter recently and haven't touched fuel pressures. I did put v power in for the first time just before it came on. Usually run on momentum 99. And i put some red x injector cleaner in about 5 tanks ago. Is it worth just replacing the sensor? Cheers

If the car is actually running rich then the sensor is just doing it`s job so changing it is a waste of money and time.

Ok that makes sense. I'm trying to work out what has changed to make it run rich and what I can do to get the ratio right again. Any ideas? Cheers

Maybe a duff pipe or the MAP sensor or the MAF it goes on.

Ok cheers. I'll keep an eye on that. Since the code was wiped it hasn't come back on. I have changed the bov back to a standard one as I've heard the aftermarket ones can make it run rich between gear changes. It was running fine with the aftermarket one and with the standard recirc it's not running quite right. Seems to have a brief loss of power when just driving at low revs. Like a stutter. Every couple of minutes it will sort of briefly cut revs for quater of a second Strange. I'm thinking maybe it's broken or possibly that the ecu needs to learn how to run with the recirc? Not sure if that's possible with this type of ecu. I'll probably just change it back to aftermarket.

It's a 2002 wrx. Been told it has an sti engine, UK 300 bottom end. Need to get this confirmed though when I find out where the I.d stamp is on the block.

Found out today it is an sti engine, turbo etc. Getting ecu plugged in and sniff test done tomorrow to find out exactly what's going on then hopefully fixed and remapped.

Yeh was a leak in the dump valve gasket. All sorted and running 330 bhp now. Good fun but shame the clutch couldn't handle it.
