Default Is it a worthwhile upgrade

Hi all, hope Ive put this in the right place.
Basically, I have a classic v6 ra, and a friend of mine a wide track sti. He has changed loads on his car, and as a result I have been offered some bits for free.
Is it worth me taking the standard v8 sti headers and replacing mine which are standard wrx ra?

If anyone knows if it will benefit mine, please share. Obviously if it helps be more efficient then great, Ill happily get ecu tweaked as am looking to change injectors soon anyway.

Really dont know if there will be any gains in area from sti headers.......

Thanks guys

No, your car is better out of the box and left original.

Is it something you would do yourself or get a garage to so? The latter will be rather expensive (circa £1000). Then there's also the question of how many miles that have, so you may want to redo the seals, set the clearances, reseat the valves etc. At a minimum resurface and pressure test them. I don't know if the head volume is the same, if not you'll need a remap for that too.
