Question

Hi all just wundered if anyone can help, i've been toying with fitting a home made intercooler spray. Mine is a MY 00 with a Prodrive ECU and i want to know is there a connection to trigger the spray on boost presure ore will i have to make do with a manualy operated switch?

With intercooler sprayers you want the water to have sprayed before you start boosting otherwise you will get hardly any benifit, so the best solution is a temperature controlled one.

There was a good Autospeed article on this suggesting a combination of high core temperature AND present engine load were most effective and best with water usage, based on the intercooler being a heat soak primarily. At the track I will probably just give it a good press on the straights before I get the big TMIC which hopefully won't need it.
