Default Should I fit subframe locking bolts?

To my Blob Wagon?

What's the deal with these? It says they should be removed after track events to prevent premature chassis wear?!

Your subframe is fitted with out-rigger bolts on dampers wich flex intern causing slight movement , there are 2 holes in the centre (1 either side ) spec c RA variants are fitted with a brace inside the boot wich locks down the subframe ... Using the lockdown bolts & using the un used holes effectively locks the subframe down to chassis eliminating movement ..
Slightly harder ride on the rear will result

They also transfer a lot more stress into the chassis which would normally be dampened by the rubber bushes which are rendered useless with the bolts fitted. This increase in stress will stress the welds and integrity of the chassis. That is probably what they mean. Too stiff can be bad if the chassis isn't up to it.

Hmm... So good idea or bad? Better off using poly subframe bushes?

If your changing out - don't be expecting the OEM to just fall out , & replace .

Oh I've taken a number of cars literally to bits, and OEM stuff almost NEVER just falls out!

Lol having done this it involved removing the subframe and using a combination of blow torch, cold chisel, very big hammer and saw to remove them. Even then it took a lot of effort. Having removed all the oe bushes on more then one car it's a job not for the faint of heart. Only easy ones are arb and rear hub to trialling arm bush.
