Big Judder/Hesitation at around 4k
Good afternoon!
I have had a bizarre occurance happen twice in the last 3/4 days.
When accelerating from 3rd to 4th under boost i get a heavy judder and the car wont accelerate and the revs bounce off the 4k mark.
Once I change back down or to 5th the car is fine, its impossible to replicate and drives as normal, even 4th is perfectly fine apart from the two instances when this has happened. It occured under heavy acceleration both times but i have tried several times to 'make' it happen but nothing, no warning lights or anything.
I dont think it is the clutch as it seems to electronically be limited to 4k, although i am open to suggestions on the clutch.
The car is an 06 Hawk STI with 91k on the clock.
Any suggestions are welcomed and what to check.
Thanks in advance!!
Dave

My car is mafless, at about 3k i get a stuttering and backfiring through the air filter when cold but when warmed up its a very slight hesitation, i believe its the neutral position switch messing with the avcs (guessing), if its not that il be changing the water temp sensor and knock sensor
