Smoking engine?
Hi guys I'm in a bit of a dilemma swapped my pride and joy for this turbo 2000 but it smokes when holding the rpm on stand still? It doesn't smoke on idle and doesn't smoke much boosting it? I've just fitted a 2nd hand turbo off my mate which it never smoked on his car? It's just had both head gaskets and valve stem seals any ideas/help or info would be really appreciated as I'm kinda stuck it's only got 80k on the clock so not majorly high but I know these cars get driven hard but should be built for it really?

What type of turbo did you swap onto it, like for like or a VF series turbo.
Might be worth checking you have the correct oil feed banjo bolts fitted as they have different sized drillings in them to restrict the oil flow depending on what type of turbo you have.
Also check the rubber hose for the oil return from the turbo to the back of the R/H cylinder head isnt kinked or restricting the oil return.

No pics mate sorry. Someone will have one on here I'm sure. Do you mean the clutch pedal? Mine does that too sometimes, I have to give it a tap to pop it back up. Never really looked in to it much myself, but I did read something about it a while ago. Do a search!
