replacement fuel pump for Classic JDM 95 WRX
Looking at replacing the fuel pump as a precaution if nothing else.
I believe most go for this
Walbro Motorsport Upgrade Fuel Pump 255lph
http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog...oducts_id=1292
Worth doing or not?
thanks

I went for an RCM http://www.rogerclarkmotorsport.co.u...productID=1301 and I cant fault it. Relatively silent and came with everything you need.
Probably a bit pricier than the walbro but you hear a few stories about them not working and for the sake of an extra few quid, jobs a good one.
I did it myself, fairly simple and there are a few guides out on the interwebs, my top tip would be to do it when the fuel tank is empty as mine was fairly full and caused a bit of spillage.

With regards to fuel pumps, I bought a SWRD 255lph pump for £45 delivered in the scoobyworx group buy. Not fitted yet but I can't see why it won't be good.

He was accused of working for RCM, when he was just being honest about a product. I know Sam in person and can tell you he doesn't work for RCM, but might wish he did

There is a discount code on the monthly offers thread we post offering 10% off :-)
We have sold over 500 of our pumps maybe more but without checking I coudnt be 100% sure and we have only had 4 go faulty so we have a very low failure rate hence the 2 year warranty we offer.

I'm thinking of extending our warranty to 3 years soon.
I've been selling these now for over 3 years and only having 4 faulty in that time all of which were faulty more or less straight away I'm confident in the product.
I'm ordering some more stock in next month including some new 044 style pumps as a new product release for us and I shall more than likely increase the warranty to 3 years at that point. Price should stay the same unless our import costs increase but we normally absorb as much as we can in increases

I've just had a SWRD pump fail during mapping. Scoobyworx have sent a replacement, but its still cost me a lot of money, as I have to go back to have the mapping completed. I'm just hoping there is no engine damage due to fuel starvation.
It worth mentioning when I told Bob Rawle which pump I had fitted he said we could have a problem before we even started.

I would question why Bob Rawle is been negative about our pumps we have a failure rate of 0.8% hence why we give a 2 year warranty. I've had this once before and I'm sure it was the same said tuner who said a similar thing.
I stand by our pumps been a top quality product and other than one bad batch we had which we only sent out 8 pumps from before removing them from stock upon finding a bad component in the batch.
We have replaced most of the ones we know we're from that batch straight away and anybody who has a pump which has text instead of our logo were happy to replace without question with a pump form the new batch.
What does Bob base his accusations on about issues with our pumps as a number of tuners and mappers use and supply our pumps and haven't advised me of any issues. I spent a lot of time making sure the pumps we offer arnt cheap crap like many of the ones available and other than Bob haven't had any negative comments.
I look forward to hearing a reply from Bob on why our pumps get negative comments from him ?
