Default Classic not starting

95 jdm wrx. Was working fine then the battery failed, have been trying to start it with the battery off my audi which is perfectly fine. when trying to start it just makes a loud fast clicking noise from somewhere behind the dash?

have taken the starter motor off and tested it, completely fine.

any clues would be much appreciated

thanks in advance

Mine does that when the battery is low, maybe you have an earth problem somewhere between the battery and the starter or engine block?

checked all the earths from starter motor - body - engine. remade all the connections. think it might be an issue with the immobiliser draining power? just thought somebody might have come across it before. going to try removing the immobiliser tonight and see if that cures it

My battery will go dead after sitting for about 3 weeks if I don't use the car. The alarm seems to drain mine.
