Hi guys,

I've just changed from a 97 classic to a 93, on my old car I removed the resonator in the inner wing which transformed the induction and sound of the turbo, was very happy as it made all the right noises but I could keep the original airbox.

However on the early car the resonator looks to be in the engine bay and not quite so simple to remove, the best looking delete pipe I've found is an Apexi one, but I'm not hopeful i'll be able to track one down!

Does anyone else make anything as good thats still available?

 

HKS one here. I think it's a hard rubber compound, unlike the metal Apexi:

You can always try to flog on the superfluous MAF and cyclone/filter kit thing...

 

lol cheers Joz! Next question.. done a little research and it seems the Apexi is meant to me part of a kit so doesnt actually work with the standard airbox, the resonator is too short to join up with the pipework apparently.

Does anyone know if the HKS one will link up to the stock airbox? Or what you need to do with the Apexi to make it work?

Here's mine. Think we spoke on Type ra site! Its the sport non-turbo airbox instead of the wrx one. A bit of a pain to fit, but works really well.
