No mate, I would guess you either have a leak or a problem with the engine or turbo causing it to burn oil. Seems a lot to be burning though, so I'd check for a leak.

Also check for smoke whilst driving.

I was using a litre in Billy my 03 Blob every 1000 miles, now I have piston ring failure the car uses literally none. Maybe a cap full every 3000 miles.

Common problem is cam seal, both my impreza's have this problem, just had one fixed, other one going in soon, to have cambelt done so getting cam seal done at sametime. Thing is you might not notice the leak as your under tray cover has a sponge inside this seams to soak most of it up, but i removed my heat shields so it now drips on the exhaust and smells.

its running a few mods and no map yet, and also using 5-30 im changing that to millers 10-40 do you think its because the oils to thin so its burning away?

and when I top the oil back up I need to do the same with the coolant not much just like half a 1pt glass
