Default Over heating

Hi guys need help my top radiator hose bust on my 1994 Subaru impreza turbo import replaced hose now overheating could thermostat b f####d cheers Ryan

Did you refill it through the turbo water hose? and how long was it before you noticed the hose had gone, ie did you cook the engine?

Not long seen the temp gauge move checked it out never went in the red filled it through tank beside turbo

A bit more detail would help. Chances are that the thermostat's ok. If you have a large air pocket in cooling system then water doesn't flow and it will overheat. Does your heater blow hot air?

Heater blowing cold air how do he bleed system thanks

Empty full system then back fill from hose going to turbo from header tank where in scotland are you

You can't bleed a WRX. Best to empty out and start again. Jack up front of car so that nose is higher. Refill at header tank near turbo with rad cap off until coolant appears at rad then replace rad cap. Should take about 6-7 litres. If you're following things to the letter you should use Subaru coolant + small bottle of 'conditioner' (otherwise known as Holts Radweld). Personally I use quality 'OAT' coolant.
