Newage WRX rods are the nut and stud type, Newage Sti use bolt and pinned cap type rods.
If going for around 400 brake, then I would personally use the Newage STi rods.

merlin, is this true for the 2.5 rods as well, or just the 2.0?

I have built several engines running around 500 brake using new WRX cranks without any problems at all.
The cranks are normally not the 'weakest link' of the internals.

Wrx rods, crank and block are the same as all NA ej20, GX sport whatever. It's only the pistons and pins that are different. Blocks are identical too

The N/A rods are not the same as the turbo versions - N/A rods are longer center to center than the turbo rods.
I think you will also find that the N/A Z20 crankcases have thiner liners than the turbo counterparts.

Hard to tell from that pic tbh boosted - possibly V4 wrx from the blurry pistons in the foreground of the pic.

I thought the liners were thinner/thicker? Very late classic sport block, now with some turbo pistons and pins in it and a turbo oil pump, and sump on it.
With the correct 8 bolt bell housing for my blob
