Standard new age wrx con rods
What power can newage wrx rods take ? , are they the same as newage sti rods ,are they ok for 400bhp?
thanks |
Newage WRX rods are the nut and stud type, Newage Sti use bolt and pinned cap type rods.
If going for around 400 brake, then I would personally use the Newage STi rods. Mick |
merlin, is this true for the 2.5 rods as well, or just the 2.0?

Thanks for reply , I have some eagle rods and arp rod bolts that I can use,

Wrx rods, crank and block are the same as all NA ej20, GX sport whatever. It's only the pistons and pins that are different. Blocks are identical too

The N/A rods are not the same as the turbo versions - N/A rods are longer center to center than the turbo rods. I think you will also find that the N/A Z20 crankcases have thiner liners than the turbo counterparts. Mick |
Aye ok, what block is this then? And how can you tell?

Hard to tell from that pic tbh boosted - possibly V4 wrx from the blurry pistons in the foreground of the pic.
