Default Gearbox Oil + Fuel Line Question

Checked the gearbox oil now the car's back on level ground, Look's a bit low to me. Need's a top up of about a litre.

Pretty sure it's Redline shockproof oil thats in there because of it's distinctive colour. Any one any idea's or suggestion's. Is it the lightweight shockproof stuff ??

Also got the standard fuel rail's back on the uk turbo, Im wondering were the 2 return's from the injector's go to:

On right is Passenger side , quite short oneL
On left comes from driver's side, a lot longer:

Redline Lightweight Shockproof is blue. Also known as Smurf's blood.

Not sure what oil that is.

You could have automatic transmission oil in the gearbox as that's a red colour. If it is then someone has put the wrong stuff in it

To be on the safe side ill probably end up draining it all out. Best to be safe rather than sorry i suppose. Thank's for the advice though.

Was thinking motul 3000 75w90 fully synthetic as a replacement ?? Or redline better.

Gearbox was not notchy or tight at all, ran very nicely.

Any ideas on the fuel rails?

I wouldn't worry about colour. I have had red and a clear/yellow colour before. Both the same stuff just different brands.

I can't remember the fuel layout as OE because mine is all changed. But I think the supply is the lower of the two thicker pipes that come out of the firewall. Mine has black insulation. This goes into the filter, then to the NS rail over the block and into OS rail through the FPR on the rear of that rail then back across the block to the grey insulated pipe back through the firewall which is the top pipe.

Maybe describe in sequence where the fuel lines are going and it will make it easier to understand where they need to go next?

I.e. I have a parallel setup so fuel comes from pump into the bay, through the filter to a t piece. Then splits into two with a hose going to the front of each injector rail. The fuel goes through the rails and out of the back where the two lines join at another t piece. This then runs to the FPR and then from the FPR back to the fuel hardline which runs back to the fuel tank.

sorry for the confusion, it's for a standard fuel rail set up

Anyone have a diagram of a standard fuel rail set up with the original FPR on the driver's side fuel rail still in situ.

It's the lines coming of each injector rail. After the injector's have been "fed" so to speak

No mate, hopefully someone else will. The standard layout goes fuel filter, rear of nearside rail, through the rail and out the front of it, across the engine, into the offside rail at the front, out the back and through the FPR then back across the engine to the return.
