Default MY11 wrx sti - random faults today

Started the car earlier , heard a couple of 'bleeps ' and the engine management light came on , cruise light , 's' light and vehicle dynamics light all flashing , couldn't alter si drive due to flashing lights any ideas of causes?

Got home and the auto locking wouldn't lock car without me pressing the remote, it was locking the car ok if the keys were in the house.Had a fiddle with the remote , still no joy but the warning lights went off on the dash

No idea why they went off but the car is now driving ok and lights still off but the auto locking still isn't working.

Thoughts / advice please

Done the test with the following results,

Trip A P _ _ _ _ then onto Trip B P , then back to Trip A which had the following,

C 0042 then C 0071 then C 0047

Dash lights all back to normal and car seems to be driving fine, any ideas of the cause ? Anything to have any concerns about ?

The auto door lock function still isn't working, is there a reset for this ? Great tip on the video Rob .
Thanks
Geraint.

There's a distinct possibility that the steering roll connector is starting to play up.

as c0042 & c0071 are linked to this.

First I'd check and make sure the connection to the abs block is good and secure maybe unplug it and check for water ingression in there. as theres a power supply code in there too

done that now Rob, no obvious water or corrosion , I unplugged it and cleaned connections with electrical cleaner, all replaced and the lights have stayed off so hopefully it was just a glitch .

any tips on the auto door lock system ?

Thanks

That doesn't sound good then Rob,

It was serviced in February so it shouldn't be the oil, when it happened on Saturday the lights went back to normal after a while and the car drove as it should, so the timing belt should also be ok ? The lights came back on this morning after a short drive, it shows the P 0019 and the other 'C' codes as posted previously.
The engine light is on and the si drive light is flashing along with cruise light.
I've rang dealer so hopefully get it to them tomorrow if it's safe to drive
Thanks for the help
