You don't ask for much, do you?

Not much doing on this site now, yet you want a response within 24 hours....no, actually ONE hour!

Help us out.

What make of boost gauge?
How many wires going in?
Colours of wires?

one will be perm and one switched feed so check the info card as if you wire them to perm they will be on all the time. I can not remember the wiring colours of the top of my head.

It's like my Defis, needs both permanent and switched live, a lighting live and an earth.

I'd suggest you get hold of one of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ELECTRIC-C...item5407ff78ce

It will allow you to find the correct wires without needing to go to a connector, or strip back insulation.

Start off with the permanent live. Switch the ignition OFF and probe behind the hazard light switch wiring until you find the wire that is live all the time. Check it's STILL live with ign ON.

Now do the same for the switched live......ideally you want one which is live ONLY when ign is on second click, or engine running, so not a good idea to use radio live which is on first click.

Lighting live can be had from hazard switch, clock etc. Again, check it's live when lights are on, and not live when lights are off.

Earth: ensure this is a decent earth.

On my Defis I identified each wire, removed about 10mm of insulation, wrapped the bare end of the wire to be joined, cut off about 6mm of solder, bent that over the joint and heated with soldering iron from underneath, then wrapped in insulating tape.

On Defis, the wiring is as follows:

RED: permanent live
ORANGE: switched live
WHITE or YELLOW: lighting live.
BLACK: earth

I have a feeling Prosport gauges transpose orange and red. A Google search will find it for you if you don't have the installation leaflet.

Wire it as I said, it will be, that's how they are designed.
