Help solving a hose issue
Finally my second attempt at getting an impreza on the road is happening on Monday but one thing I still need to sort. so far its cost me,
£1100 to buy the car
£50 rear grooved discs, standard front discs & rear Kevlar pads (cheers Rab E)
£17 front blueprint pads (half price discount off a friend works in motor factors)
£4 mintex dot 5.1 brake & clutch fluid
£60 front caliper refurbished
£20 handbrake shoes
£9 handbrake shoe spring kit
Lucky enough I was able to fit it all myself with help from the wife to bleed brakes & clutch
I still need to figure out this part that's melted, if its part of the intake going to turbo & since its after the maf it could cause problems? think maybe it has a hole and last owner has put sealant on it.

Yep, oil breather pipe either off the top of the block on the left or the air intake, there should be a plastic joiner and it looks like its been routed too close to the turbo and melted. Easy fix just pull it all off see whats fecked and speak to one of the breakers on here, shouldn't cost more than a tenner to sort.
Actually looks like it's been routed over the top of the turbo and it wants to be underneath, on closer inspection of you pic I'd definitely say it's off the top of the block. Look under the turbo and you will see a plastic T piece coming out the top of the block where this pipe should go along with another the same diameter, just needs a new piece of hose but refit below the turbo not above like some muppet has obviously done.
