Hi car sometimes cuts out when on the move then fires straight back up seems to do it mainly when warm but on odd time it's cut out when starting car from cold then struggles to start but always starts, engine light does not come on and there's is no codes coming up either, i'v cleaned the iacv and the maff. any ideas what to try next?

Does it do it as your coasting up to the lights or a roundabout just before you stop? and what milage has the car done?

No does it anytime even when accelerating done it on motorway a couple of times at about 70mph, mileage little over 56000

Have you messed with any inter cooler pipe work recently my old 200sx did that when it had a major boost leak

It had a baileys valve on when I got it which I thought might be causing it so swapped it for a oe one, how would I check for boost leak?

Soapy water on the joints of all inter cooler pipe work may be worth checking the recirc valve isn't leaking did you change the gasket when putting standard back in?

No didn't change gasket guess it might not have been changed when baily valve was put on so will get a new gasket for it n check for boost leaks also

Just tested for boost leaks with soapy water and no signs of any does anybody have any other ideas?

My old mk4 astra van had similar symptoms and turned to out to be a dogie CPS sensor best getting it looked at.

Mine would start straight back up, I also had it happen in the middle lane overtaking a wagon had to drop back to get in the hard shoulder while coasting.

Would a cps sensor put a fault code up?

Is a cps crankshaft or camshaft position sensor or are they the same thing?

Started car today it run for a few seconds then died it took 4 goes to get it started and still no codes comeing up any ideas?
