Default Don't like cone filters

Just bought a 2005 PPP which has been fitted with a cone filter.
Not sure about the noise it makes (yes I'm old) and am thinking of going back to oem air box with simota filter.
Will this affect the map, etc?

Has the car been remapped with the cone filter? It may alter the airflow to the MAF, not 100% sure.

If the oem maf housing has been replaced then the maf scaling could well be out but if its still on the standard maf tube then itll be fine.

Thanks for that guys. I'm not sure if it's the standard tube. I'll buy an oem airbox and check.
