I must be blind then as I can't see it. Are you sure it's not the later models you're thinking of? Ones without coilpacks.

Obviously a wind up???? Do you actually know what an alternator even looks like??? There arent too many things driven by pulleys.....Thats a general clue, if you cant figure it out after that, just leave the bonnet shut and take it to someone.

look at the front of your engine,you should see a belt(rubber 1 inch wide) follow the belt up and there should be your alternator.
its nexts to your power steering reservoir(the place you top up the steering fluid)

Have you lost your marbles Maffa?
Its sat right infront of the manifold, to the right of your PS reservoir. You can see copper-coloured wiring through the vents.
