Default Dump valve

I have an sti v3, it already had a dv on when I bought it, now I don't want to start a big dv argument but I was thinking on putting an original recirculating valve on before I get it ready for a map. Should I do this if getting it remapped, or should I leave or can you totally remove the dv.

Thanks

What make is the aftermarket DV?

Preferably yes install OEM DV, or a decent aftermarket one that recircs, or both.

Cheap ones are nasty, unreliable and simply don't offer any benefits, in fact some cause more issues such as lump responsiveness and ill throttle between gear changes.

You'll get a 2nd hand OEM for £20 ish

Recently took off my dump valve and replaced with forge recirculation valve.

Much more driveable, no more pops or flames from exhaust, boost takes a little longer to come up but difference is very small,

I'm glad i removed the dump valve

I don't actually know the make that's on it, I'll have a look over weekend.

If it states 'bailey' on it, please burn it!

I know what a bailey one looks like, it's not one of them, it's a big round lump of a thing from what I can remember, it swings low, but I'm going to look at it tomorrow and say which it is. Ha

That's like saying docs removed my foreskin, my ***** is 1 cm shorter, it's not as sensitive, I can't sustain an erection but it's smoother.

Haha, I don't want to sound chavvy or anything but I quite like the pops and bangs, rally noises, I suppose it's ok on a toy and not the daily driver.

I only go on boost once a week, with normal driving not even close to making the TD05 spool, so it doesn't really matter what DV I run.

Like most things Scooby related I've read or been told conflicting views on whether a mapper can account for a VTA.

Sad this place is full of these *****

Your comparing the unnecesary chav noises to the performance of your c*ck, bet you stick it up the exhaust on weekends

I suppose you want your car to pop and bang because subaru don't know how to make a car properly, yet you still bought one
