Methanol options?
Hi guys, got a classic wrx with around 600bhp in mind. Looking at methanol or water/meth injection. I have an ERL system, its quite basic, just a pressure switch activated single-stage thing, but should I use that or should I premix the methanol with the fuel (95RON) in the main fuel tank and shelve the injection system?

I think injection or mix both have their pros and cons.
With mixing, You need to take care with you Pump, regulator and Injectors. Some of this stuff doesn't take kindly to methanol.
With injection you have the chance that the methanol injector becomes blocked or restricts flow etc cause you to det your engine to bits!
I just installed a meth injection kit, but haven't tried it out yet! No time to tune!
Hopefully someone in the know can share some info!

I run 20% meth in the fuel and a water/meth injection system, my car produces 466HP/490llbs ft, this with a tmic. The big hassle is adding meth to the tank not servicing the W/M system which uses very little of the water/meth, unless out on track. Normal road use it almost goes unnoticed as the progressive system only activates on boost.
A good system has failsafe's installed and the ecu will run wastegate boost pressure only if a fault occurs, i.e I had a relay fail recently, this is the only problem I've had in 6years.
The best place to obtain advice is NASIOC website or google Aquamist.
