You want to put a turbo'd classic engine in a NA Bugeye?

It's difficult enough just making a classic NA into a turbo but by adding the difficulty of a different model it will no doubt be even more difficult.

What do you mean. Fitting a newage n/a engine into a classic turbo? Or fitting a classic turbo engine into a newage n/a?

Bad idea. Yes it is possible. The same way that building a car from just simply buying parts on ebay is possible. But it would be a difficult and expensive job. Far far easier to buy a turbo model.

For starters its not just the engine that is different. It's the loom and ecu. Not only does a turbo loom have different sensor plugs etc but when yous start swapping between model years then plugs for dash board switches accessories etc are going to be different too. You will need the gearbox, probably the drive train, maybe hubs, all sensors, pipes, hoses, loom, switches, all engine parts etc then you will have to probably cut and splice the loom in various places to match it all up which unless you know how to rewire a car loom you wont get far.

Then after that you have a car which you will have to tell the insurance company has an engine swap giving 100% more power.... they will rape you for that. Then when you sell the car you will have to explain that to the new buyer and they won't touch it.

Honestly not worth the effort.
