I am new here. I am running Forester 2.0XT - currently modifying it a bit to be more 'brsik'

As a part of exterior upgrade, I would like to tint a bit my glass/widows. Unfortunately I am foreigner and I am not 100% sure what are the rules about tinting windows here in UK. Are there any restriction? Any % requirements of visibility? I understand you cant tint front side windows and windscreen - can you confirm that?

Have the back windows and rear as dark as you like!

The fronts are different!

The glass is always a little tinted out of the factory. This is not realised by most.

You can tint the fronts but not by very much.

The tinter might say they are adding a road legal tint but most of the time this won't include the tint that's already in the glass.

Common sense prevails in this case. If you're paying someone to do it, ask if they supply a receipt stating "road legal" tints on front windows and what percentage they used.

Above won't stop the police getting out their gadgets, proving you wrong and not letting you leave till you scrape them off.
