Default What is this please

Afternoon!!

I'm just putting my engine back together and found this mystery part in my box of bits at the end. Anyone know what it is, where it goes etc please?

The connector matches one at the front of the engine but I'm not sure if it's coincidence and if it isn't, what it does lol

Any help appreciated!!

Adam

Hey mate

It's a purge valve solenoid for the emission control (EGR)

You can find it on a diagram here

http://opposedforces.com/parts/impre...llustration_1/

and here

I have the EGR pipes blocked on my car anyway, but the sensor is still there and still connected

That would explain it. I definitely didn't have any hoses on it and scoobyclinic has blocked a load of vacuum hoses up so that would make sense. I'm guessing if I unplug it (bearing in mind it will be mapped to not be plumbed in but plugged in) it will through a EML?

Thanks for the reply!!
