Spoiler = downforce = drag = slower but for the odd 1/4 mile the gains will be minimal

It will slow you down. But as said, will it be worth removing? Not a lot.

All depends how serious you are into it...

When every split second counts, yes remove it. Much the same as I am going to remove the bonnet scoop. I will also tape up all the shut lines on doors bumpers etc.

I have removed the spoiler, as they will significantly improve downforce at 100mph+ which on a drag race is not required.

For a normal powered car there probably isnt much point though

just wondering how many of the above, have even been on the quarter mile.when you only have 1/4 of a mile and your not talking seconds, your talking 10ths and 100ths of a seconds that make all the difference.then yes I'd say take it off.i always remove mine, If I remember rightly it weighs around 8kg on the newage which might not sound like a lot but every bit of weight makes a difference.i'd strip down to my pants to save weight if I could.

Me too!

Everyone looks at me like I am mad pushing my car to the start line to keep it cool and emptying the whole car, removing the spoiler etc!

But it will be the difference between an 11.2 and a 10...
