Default Hawkeye exhaust 2

Thinking of buying this to replace my aps 3" back box and centre section.

Will this fit my existing as the end of the centre section looks different to the other end of the centre section and the end of the back box.

Cheers

James

Your standard exhaust will have a 2.5" end on the downpipe, so if this system tapers from 3" bore to a 2.5" fitting on the downpipe then yes.

You could always ring Exhausts UK (Cobra) and ask them. Very helpful bunch!

Will do. Thanks. Think my down pipe is already 3". So this may not fit.

Standard downpipe is 2.5" through with 2.5" end. Can get aftermarket 3" through downpipe with 2.5" end to suit a 2.5" exhaust (what I have on my 334bhp 381lb/ft wrx), or can get 3" downpipe with 3" end to suit full 3" system.

My downpipe is cobra sports cat version with all other cats removed. Passes MOT at Subaru every year.

If your downpipe is original it won't be 3".

Sorry to hijack the thread. I have just picked up a 2nd hand downpipe 3" tapers down to 2.5". Would you see there being a problem with air flow or anything considering I have a 2.5" centre non-resonated to backbox which is 2.5" at join with 3" bore?

Looks like aftermarket stainless one if that's a picture of your downpipe. Best measure the outside diameter of the end straight bit before the end flange.
